BiNi Coleman

Chief Operations Officer

As founder and CEO of 212 Catalysts, a nonprofit consultancy, BiNi uses nearly 30 years of experience to work with nonprofits, corporations, funders, educational, and government agencies — ranging from 1 to 12,000 employees — to help them achieve the “extra degree” that leads to catalytic results. As part of her work, BiNi fulfills the role of COO for the African American Youth Harvest Foundation and helped to orchestrate the launch of the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center along with other projects that meet critical needs for thousands of youths and families.

BiNi has spearheaded projects that have been recognized and studied for best practices by agencies such as Texas State University, Stanford Graduate School of Business, SEDL, Texas Education Agency, Texas Dept of Transportation, US Dept of Education, and Colin and Alma Powell’s America’s Promise Alliance. She and the 212 Catalysts team have assisted BIPOC-led nonprofit organizations to secure over $23 million since 2010, and she has helped manage or provide technical assistance to over $600 million in funded projects serving hundreds of thousands of community members across the State of Texas over the past 30 years.

Recent local initiatives launched through her consultancy include the African American Leadership Institute (AALI); the Black Men’s Health Clinic, and the Travis County Transformation Project to divert juveniles from the correctional system, among others. She also helped spearhead the AALI Policy Work Group which is advocating for a tax ratification effort to fund flexible, affordable childcare options for working families in Travis County.

BiNi has an MBA and has served as a guest speaker and mentor to university and K-12 students and professionals over the last 20 years, including presentations at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and US Dept of Education 21st CCLC conferences.
